Penglai locates at the northernmost part of Jiaodong peninsula, facing Bohai Sea. It has long been known as Fairyland. The First Emperor of China, Emperor Qin sent his courtiers here to search for elixir. And almost all Chinese people know the myth of Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea which is said to have originated here. Penglai is most famous for the 1,000 year old Penglai Pavilion which perches on the cliff top of Danya Mountain and overlooks the sea. It is a complex that includes Sanqing Palace, Lvzu Palace, Tianhou Palace, Longwang (Dragon King) Palace and Mituo Si (Amitabha Temple).The fascinating complex is an ideal place for view of the immense sea, and is also the best place for the famous Penglai mirages. Under the Penglai Pavilion is the Penglai Water City built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It has two gates, namely, the south Zhenyang Gate, and the north Water Gate. It is presently the most complete ancient military water base in China.

Located at the eastern tip of Shandong Peninsula, Weihai is surrounded by sea on three sides and connected with the continent on one side. The port city was once the base for the first Chinese fleet (Beiyang shuishi). In 1894, the Sino-Japanese Jiawu War broke out in the waters off Weihai. Japanese won the battle and the Chinese battle ship sank to the bottom of the sea. To commemorate the battle, a museum was set up on Liugong Island which is located in Weihai bay, 20 minutes from the travel dock by boat. Liugong Island is named "the unsinkable battle ship" representing hopes and wishes of people. Other sightseeing spots of the city are Chengshan Cape Resort, Weihai Park, Crown Uptown, International Bathing Beach, etc.

We will leave at 6:00 for Penglai by air-conditioned bus. After having lunch there, we will visit Penglai Pavilion, Water City, Ancient Boat Museum, etc. In the evening we will set off for Weihai and spend the night there in 3 star hotels. On the second day we will visit Liugong Island and Korea garments wholesale market before returning. Besides, there are two shopping stops during the trip. Price is 1100RMB per capita, with transportation, first entry fees, room and board, guide service and travel agency liability insurance (10000RMB) included.
