Volunteers registered exceed 10,000

According to information of Organization Committee, number of volunteers registered for the 4th Solar Cities World Congress has surpassed 10, 000 by the end of April 1st.
Dezhou started volunteer recruitment work on March 1st, with an original plan of recruiting 3400. Since then, citizens of Dezhou have taken part in the activity enthusiastically. The oldest applicant was 77 and the youngest 18. 60% of the applicants are college students and others are enterprise workers, retirees, even abroad students from Korea, Australia and England.
It is said that there are three kinds of volunteers, including those of venue, township and community. Gao Xiupeng, Director of the Volunteer Service Department of the Organization Committee said for next step they will carry out rigorous appraisals and reviews to select the most qualified volunteers for the congress.
